It is more than possible that some of my relatives from the Nicholson clan were deported from Scotland to the Americas for serious misdemeanors,however I came of my own free will -and enjoy a quiet knowledge that I am British by Birth but Scottish by the grace of God!

The Land of Scotland has a population of approximately 5 million rain soaked people.Some areas such as Loch Lommond and the Highlands are beautiful .The people are very friendly and can enjoy a country steeped in spiritual History .My home town of Shotts is surrounded by Covenanters monuments and places of importance to the faith we have today.John Livingstone preached at Shottskirk Church in the 16th century,as the rain fell 500 revival souls were saved.As a child I attended many conventicles (covenanter gatherings)at this church and indeed my own Father ,brothers and family members are buried in the exact location where Livingston preached all those years ago...............Whatever happened in that Revival Town resulted in the Gospel being passed down through the ages,so much so that I am now a 4th generation Christian,my son Chris is 5th generation...............saved not by family ties- but by the grace of God and a firm belief repentance .salvation and forgiveness through the death of Christ at Calvary.

Originally born in Edinburgh, I grew up in the small town of Shotts located in the hard working industrial belt of central Scotland.Influenced by my parents as a child I trusted in God. Over the years I have seen some horrific things happen mainly as a result of Alcohol abuse,Women beaten,young people die,family life ruined and eventually my own brother die an Alcoholic.As I read the bible accounts of the life of Jesus I genuinely fell in love with him ,then from the old testament I applied the peace in Psalms and the wisdom in Proverbs to my life............

As a young man in business, our company grew ,it was difficult to avoid many of the complex dilemas,legal situations and problems that are linked with the world of industry and Commerce, however I genuinely flew by spirit navigation and trusted in a God whose signature was on many of the decisions that were made.
Many experiences that happened to my Wife Caroline and I along the way, were to forge our character and personalities into a couple who have been married for 20 years, blessed with three lovely Children,Kimberley 18 Christopher 16 and Bethany 8, all of us are living a life with a knowledge that if God be for us- who can be against us?
Through the years our key gifts of teaching ,sharing and helping people- as well as administering Church business, was to provided great experience which would assist us as we stand with Skip and Lenya Heitzig at Ocean Hills Church.

To relocate from Scotland and take a position as Pastor of Administration has allowed us to have the joy of assisting in the growing Church at San Juan Capistrano.We look forward to the challenge ahead as we play a part in a dynamic team of people that are being assembled at our Church.I am certain great things lie ahead that will allow us to share the gospel in not only South Orange county ,but to the ends of the earth.

From our humble beginnings ,we are being used by God to be available to Skip,to support him and have the joy of watching the great things God is doing, as people are equipped for ministry,saved ,healed and lives rededicated.What a blessing to be in the house of God and see genuine change in the lives of people.I owe many Godly men a debt of gratitude for their wise council in my life,Brothers of good reputation who have stood by me in my darkest hours...........I wish to live the rest of my life for Christ to serve a real ,alive and vibrant God,to pass on the gospel inheritance that has been nurtured over the years ,through the preaching of the word.

As you have read our story -be encouraged......be challenged ,let go and let God drive........don't strive for your way..wait upon the lord,really patently wait and he will give answers and direction in a crystal clear way in your life.....now stand back let go and watch.

It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. 12 And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper. 13 When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave.
And a voice said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"
