INTRODUCTION:
A. The communion table represents the access that we can have with God.
B. Are there any areas of your life that remain separated from God?
I. The Priority
A. What does it mean to break bread with someone?
B. What is the significance of sharing a meal with someone?
C. How can sharing a meal with someone become perverted? (1 Corinthians 11)
D. Why was sharing a meal in the top four priorities of Jesus in the early church?
E. How does "breaking bread" relate to being devoted to the apostles doctrine and to fellowship?
F. Jesus said, "Do this often in rememberance of me." How often is often?

2. Didache discussed church order and talked of the practices of the early curch community. It has prayers for communion in the weekly basis
II. The Pattern-Luke 22:7
A> Why was this section unexpected for the twelve apostles?
B> What was the "new twist" that Jesus revealed and fulfilling?
C. Discuss the passover meal in the OT and the the symbolism of Christ within it. What was the pasover meal centered around?
D. What were the four cups of wine? Cup of Thanksgiving, Cup of Judgment, Cup of Redemption (Lk 22:19), Cup of Praise What were their significance?

A. How does communion reflect the past, present and future?
B. Look at your life and relate in your group how Jesus has impacted your life in the past, in the present and how you see him working in your future.
IV. The Preparation
A. What is the manner in which we need to prepare our hearts to receive communion?
B. Why is this important?
C. How does this demonstrate your love for God and for others
APPLICATION:
1.Before taking communion together in your small group share with one another what is happening in your life and how God has worked in it
2. Ask God to give you an opportunity this week to share the Gospel with someone
3. Share with your group who God has around you at work, etc that you might share the Gospel with and ask them to pray for that person to be saved.
