3. Only 22 courses are name here instead of 24
4. Notice that Zerubabbel is in verse 1
5. He is not really in the story. He showed up 100 years earlier with Ezra was the governor. Why is he mentioned here?
6. Genealogies and forefathers were very important. Always stood on the shoulders of those who went before them. Tie in the past with the present to share into the future was important
7. Zerrubabel came to the point of discouragement where the work was not going well and was ready to give up. A promise was given to him in Zechariah where he was given a vision. 7 branch menorah above it a gold bowl filed with oil and 7 pipes running from the bowl into the 7 branches attached 2 pipes that ran to 2 olive trees that ran to the bowls which ran to the menorah.
8. This was an automated menorah!!!

G. The focus of this study is the worship generation of Jerusalem
H. Read Psalm 84 Sons of Korah were gatekeepers in the house of the Lord
I. Principle - In a relationship tasks take on a different meaning. What is menial, low and base becomes wonderful when you are in love.
J. The most menial job on God's staff is better than the place of highest promotion in the world. The worst that GOd has to offer you is better than the best that the world has to offer.
K. Notice that sing 8 thanks 6 rejoice 7 music 3 times in verses 27-43
L. Praise and worship linked together with the use of musical instruments. Psalms mean words set to music. Martin Luther said once that next to theology, music was the most divine pursuit in this life. Music is an aid to worship, but is itself a means of offering glory to God.
M. Martin Luther himself was to declare that the secular world's music ought to be brought into the church "so that many beautiful songs from our nation may be sung, while in the religious field we have such rotten, lifeless stuff." His new loose music gave us "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God."
APPLICATION:
1. Go to Psalms and locate all the Thanksgiving PSalms
2. Take time to think about God's goodness and thank Him for it
3. Are you open to taking on tasks in church that are menial or lowly or do you seek after those tasks that seem
4. What can you do TO be a First Responders to the glory of God?
5. Their ought to be a palpable joy whenever GOd's people join together.
6. Read Psalm 122
MEMORY VERSE: Nehemiah 12:43
Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; the women and the children also rejoiced, so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard afar off.
