Jim Nicol

Jim Nicol
Jim Nicol was originally born in Edinburgh, where he grew up in the small town of Shotts located in the hard working industrial belt of central Scotland. After running a successful Boiler company (Nicol Boilers) he moved to California in 2005.
Jim is married to his lovely wife Caroline.  They have three Children together, Kimberly, Chris, and Bethany.  Jim and Caroline are currently foster parents to Brhanu Haptu, an eight year old boy from Ethiopia.

Hal Henderson

Hal Henderson
Hal Henderson is a retired Marine Corps officer and retired commercial airline pilot. In the summer of 2004 he publicly confessed his faith in and dependence upon Jesus Christ at the Harvest Crusade in Angels’ Stadium. Hal and his family have attended Ocean Hills Church since November, 2003.  Hal serves in the men’s ministry, and helps with one of our usher teams.  He serves on the board of directors of the San Clemente Pregnancy Resource Center and as a male counselor for that organization. Hal and his wife, Cheryl and teenage son, Matt live in San Clemente, and aren’t planning on going anywhere else anytime soon.

Jeff Wade

Jeff Wade
Jeff Wade has been faithfully attending Ocean Hills with his wife Sandra and 3 children ( Maddison, Payton and Avalon) since both he and Sandra graduated from Westmont College in 1982.  All three of Jeff and Sandra’s children have been raised and dedicated in this church. Jeff is a local business man and he and his family reside in Laguna Niguel..

Marty Gobel

Marty Gobel
Marty Gobel is a manufacturing engineer for Boeing in Long Beach where he has worked since 1985.  Raised in a Christian family Marty received Christ as a young boy but spent much of his adult life living for himself and his own pleasure.  After returning to church with his family in the late 1990’s he has grown to love God is dedicated to serve Him and grow in knowledge of His Word. Marty has attended Ocean Hills Church with his wife Marites and 12 year old daughter Melissa since the spring of 2005.

Eric Fuchser

Eric Fuchser and his wife Linda have attended Ocean Hills for over ten years.  Linda has served as the wedding and memorial coordinator at Ocean Hills for six years and Eric has served as a deacon for two. Linda was his high school sweetheart and they will have been married 25 years this September.  They have three wonderful daughters Jenna 22, Alyssa 21 and Hannah 13.  Six years ago his entire family was baptized together which he recalls as “my fondest memory at Ocean Hills”. He is currently the Store Director of the Bristol Farms Gourmet Market in Newport Beach.

Kevin Torrence

Kevin Torrence

A native Californian, Kevin has lived in Orange County all of his life. He has been married for over 32 years and has two son’s – Craig 28 and Eric 26.

Kevin is the Director of Operations for National Center for Chaplain Development (NCCD) and he has extensive experience in business administration, office management and supervision. Kevin is a Sr. Chaplain for the International Fellowship of Chaplains (IFOC) and also serves as a Patrol Chaplain for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. He is also an instructor for the American Heart association (AHA) and is proficient as a trainer in Basic Life Support (BLS) & the First Aid, CPR, AED Heartsaver Program.

Kevin believes in being ready for disasters, both personal and those that affect the community. As such he has been involved in the following areas…

• Commissioned as a Chaplain’s by Ocean Hills Church
• Participate in the prayer team and after hours calls
• Chaplain for the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team
• Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) trained
• Ocean Hills Disaster Response Team
• Facilitator for the GriefShare program at OHC

Evan Liewer

Evan Liewer
Evan Liewer has been a part of Ocean Hills for the last 20 years. After being a Jr. High student and High School student he loved it so much he never left. He continued to work for the ministry while he attended Biola University where he met his beautiful wife, April, and obtained a degree in Business Management and Bible. During his ten years on staff, he time he authored a book for leading international mission trips, “Edge of the Map”, which is used by churches and their missions department. Evan is married to his beautiful bride, April, who he met at Biola. April is Executive Administrator at a prestigious interior design firm in Laguna Beach. They have been married five years and live in San Clemente with their beautiful daughter Avagail Beloved and their two dogs, Traffic, a German Shepherd and Mango, a Miniature Pincher.
